In the new Innopreneur Circle of the DHBW Lörrach, 15 motivated students of different courses and semesters have been working on innovative concepts for three companies since May 2022. meteoblue was one of these companies and, thus, also a founding company of this project. In addition, a student of meteoblue AG participated in one of the project groups.
The project group named its innovation idea tailored to meteoblue "Future+". They developed a concept for climate risk management analysis. This concept is potentially applicable across a wide range of industries in order to better assess climate change’s impact on weather-dependent investment decisions. As with other project groups, students developed a modular system allowing business model expansion and additional strategic business positioning. What the students came up with in the project groups accelerates our internal innovation process.
With the successful results of their innovation work, the methods learned, and the experience gained, the graduates of the Innopreneur Circle did not only gain new skills for a successful career but were also equipped for responsible tasks as entrepreneurial innovation drivers and valuable employees in future employers. Project manager Prof. Matthias Paul summarises the project’s success as "equipped for 'NewWork' through 'New Learning'".
We thank DHBW Lörrach for organising and inviting us to participate in this groundbreaking format and for the students’ dedicated participation. We will implement what we have developed and hope another generation of "Innopreneurs" will soon follow.
